THE AVG GREEN SIDE
NOT JUST GREEN BELIVERS
Our bid to raise awareness and reduce waste is in full swing. With so many green initiatives in preparation – we don’t just incubate sustainability, we practice it!
SUSTAINABLE GROWTH IS A STRATEGIC BUILDING BLOCK IN A GREATER ARCHITECTURE OF A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE.
Our wider cultural development continues to expand as we introduce larger scale initiatives across the company in a bid to tackle the unnecessary damage caused by excessive waste pollution.
We apply the 4 R rule: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Recover.
In 2019, starting from Italy, we began our journey for a greener and more eco-friendly future. We have since eliminated the sale of plastic bottles from all of our distributors and installed drinking fountains which are connected to the water supply and filtered to provide hot, chilled and carbonated water on demand. Used together with our newly appointed stainless-steel drinking flasks which have been handed out to all of our employees. Our hot drinks dispensers now provide organic and ecological cups with the added option for you to use your own cup if available.
ANY DISPOSABLE PLASTIC ITEMS SUCH AS
GLASSES, SPOONS, STRAWS AND SCOOPS WILL BE REMOVED ENTIRELY.
The use of disposable plastic has also been removed from our events and meetings. We are ambassadors of the #PlasticFree campaign along with other private and public organizations to challenge climate change and the effects of global warming in an effort to protect the planet.
Our waste management solutions have also evolved in order to reduce land pollution and encourage composting. Recycling is not just a “best practice”, it’s essential for the environment. We are also pursuing the paperless campaign, which includes all machine manuals to be designed for digital consultation in the hope that over time, paper requests from customers will be discouraged.
With many projects underway, we are indeed going green and looking to the future!
“We are convinced that aspects such as attention to the environment and environmental sustainability are not just a set of rules and laws to be respected but an added value of a company” (Emidio Zorzella)
